Filta’s newest innovation the LLC AUTO, a self-maintaining grease recovery unit has been recognised by the industry with a Silver Award in the 2022 Innovation Challenge at the Commercial Kitchen Show.

The innovation challenge looks at innovative products, services and new technologies to enhance commercial kitchens and make them more efficient. It showcases the most innovative launches of the year and strives to bring the best equipment into the foray for buyers.

A panel of judges from across the catering industry said “FOG is a growing challenge and this is an amazing solution for the industry. The judges liked the fact that it is low maintenance and can be used in a variety of kitchens.”

A part of the FiltaFOG Cyclone range, it was initially developed for a large QSR operator. It raises the bar for Grease Recovery Units (GRUs), delivering a high-quality of Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) recovery and works with Combi-ovens, Wok stations and Rotisseries. It is a game-changing kitchen equipment that requires no human intervention during its operation as opposed to traditional GRUs and ensures a smooth-running busy kitchen.

Operators can expect to recover more than 10 litres of oil per day whilst costing as little as £8 per year to run.

Edward Palin, commercial director for Filta Group, said: “LLCAUTO is our most innovative product yet. Born out of customer demand for innovative low input solutions. the LLC AUTO delivers on all aspects whilst providing great customer satisfaction. With the changing landscape, more and more operators are demanding cutting-edge technology that gives them peace of mind and reduces their input. This is our contribution to the hospitality industry and we were delighted to come away with a Silver Award.
